The California Justice Coalition (CJC) unites community-based organizations, non-profits, consultants, and lobbyists to advance transformative criminal justice reform in California. Together, we share essential resources, advocate for impactful policy changes, and work to stop legislation that threatens to increase the power and scope of incarceration and extreme punishment in the state. Our colaborative structure, with dedicated subcommittees, empowers us to amplify our collective voice, align strategies, and drive meaningful, equitable change within the state’s criminal legal system.

While we strive for alignment as a coalition, the CJC network take their own independent positions as organizations and the coalition does not take positions as a whole. Therefore, the coalition also does not submit formal position letters as a coalition; instead, each organization independently determines its position and submits position letters accordingly.
